Langer Lane Solar Park is a co-located 7.5MW Solar PV and 1MW battery storage project proposed on land within Wingerworth Parish in north east Derbyshire.
About the project:
Approximately 1,700 tonnes of CO2 saving per annum
Equivalent of 2,760 houses powered
Biodiversity net gain to leave the natural environment in a measurably better state than beforehand, which will include new hedgerow planting and enhancement of existing flora and fauna
Community benefit fund to benefit local community projects. The local community will decide how the funds should be spent
Well screened with existing vegetation and new planting

EIA Screening Opinion
PPS submitted a request for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening Opinion (21/01370/EIA) to North-East Derbyshire District Council. The response confirmed that the proposed development would not require an EIA Environmental Statement to be submitted with a full planning application.
