Be the Change – Waterside Park: Swindon's Energy Innovation Hub infographic

Waterside Innovation Hub is a multi-technology project that is being delivered by Public Power Solutions, now known as Ethical Power Development, in partnership with industry specialists.

The project activity is taking place in and around the Swindon Borough Council owned Waterside Park depot, and will provide services to Council owned buildings and fleet vehicles

The project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund under Priority Axis 4, Supporting the Shift Towards a Low Carbon Economy.

Key project elements

  • 12MW/24MWh battery storage installation on brownfield land to provide grid balancing services.

  • 50kWp solar canopy feeding the Waterside Park Household Waste Recycling Depot.

  • 8 dual electric vehicle charging points for Swindon Borough Council fleet vehicles.
